The Washington DC Fair Trade Coalition Official MySpace Page
Support fair trade in Washington
See our Fair Trade News Blog: Fair Trade on The Hill
"The Nation" reporter John Nichols, talks Fair Trade Democrats in Congress.
Welcome all to the Washington DC network for supporters of fair trade:
"A trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers - especially in the South. Fair Trade organisations (backed by consumers) are engaged actively in supporting producers, awareness raising and in campaigning for changes in the rules and practice of conventional international trade." (FINE: Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International, International Fair Trade Association, Network of European Worldshops and European Fair Trade Association).
This Coalition has been established to link the efforts of Persons, Businesses and Organizations supporting fair trade in Washington DC to strengthen the solidarity for fair trade in Washington DC as a local community with an international reach.
..What this Coalition can do..:
Establish a DC network for fair trade
Support fair trade business in DC
Promote a fair trade education
There are many levels of commitment and/or concern for this issue and I encourage ALL to join us.
In case I haven't mentioned it before, I just wanted to say I am SO GRATEFUL that you are my friend. Please feel free to stop by, say hello, read my blog (and subscribe if you like!), write a comment, listen to new tunes, or simply just hang out whenever you feel like it. You are always more than welcome!

Thank you for your interest in Fair Trade! As a consumer, you have the power to make positive change in the world!
Sure you’ve heard about Fair Trade coffee, but what about Fair Trade bananas?
Learn more about what Fair Trade certification means! Help spread the word and support Fair Trade: Nominate Fair Trade Certified, the official page of TransFair USA, for the MySpace Impact Awards!
My site is one of a growing number committed
to the 100, 000 Cups Campaign - a network of
Myspace sites that have joined forces to
encourage Myspace users to generate nearly
one million ounces of rice or other staple
food with no more than a click of a mouse.
Each mouse click generates a donation of
over eight ounces of food to combat the current
famine in East Africa where there has been no rain
in almost 3 years. Crops have failed. Wells and
rivers are dry. People are dying.
Please, add this site.
If you should notice our bulletin, please
repost it for us. Every repost helps.
Thanks the add and for supporting Aid to Artisans' work! We love what you're doing, keep up the great work!

Welcome to my helpful group of friends and thank you for wanting to make a difference. Please have a look at my top friends especially my number one friend if you want to make the biggest difference.
All the non-profit organizations that exist I am greatly concerned about and want to help as much and fully as I can! As I said on my profile, after reading a non-profit organization called World Wide Enlightenment, I truly believe if everyone were aware of the knowledge throughout this organizations website then every single non-profit organization in the world would naturally resolve itself and will no longer be a problem anywhere throughout the world. http://www.myspace.com/worldwidenlightenment
just to let you know...I am in a Fair Trade Cooperative in Brazil (COOPFAM) right now...I am taking some interviews with the farmers about Fair Trade...and their agricultural methods...the goal ORGANIC, of course...so if you have any questions...I could ask them...
cheers
