"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." --Hunter S. Thompson
Hi and welcome to my MySpace site! I'm in the process of updating this page, so more stuff will be added as time allows...
I've been out of the music world for awhile - self imposed hermitage due to being burned out by the "biz" (and I use that world loosely!)...but looking now to get back into it in some way - maybe a change in direction....?
I used to perform/record under the nom de plume of DC Sayner, but have since retired that persona and now using my real name (like it's gonna make an iota of difference! LOL). The CD itself is still being marketed with that name, so if you find it - it's me! :)~
I've uploaded a couple of tracks from previous CD here...will add any new stuff that comes along :) All of the music on this site (and the CD) was composed, recorded, and produced in my studio in Archdale NC - 7City Productions. >Kawai K11 synth - all music/instrument sounds >PG Music PowerTracks Pro - MIDI recording software Basically used as a realtime MIDI recorder with all instruments played manually (except drums). Drum tracks for each song were custom-created and sequenced with PTP. >Roland VS-880 8-track digital recorder Where the music met the vocals... >Syntrillium CoolEdit 2000 - editing/mastering software Last step in the process - mixdown from the 880 mastered to CD.
For live shows, I have mixdowns of the music minus the lead vocals/lead piano, plus various and sundry karaoke-style music. Started out using CDs for playback, but shifted to using MP3 players mounted to keyboard surface.
DC you really sound great. You've really done an excellent job, producing, writing, playing and singing and engineering. Not aways an easy feat! Far as the music business goes ..thats why I play for my own enjoyment. Don't need those kind of hassels..it's fun just to jam with friends and do alittle recording now and then. DC it's a pleasure to have you on our page and thank for sharing your music and experences. Take care Brother.
