Tucson singer/songwriter David D’Alessio draws frequent comparisons to other current icons in his genre-- the "Jack Johnson of the Southwest"; a voice with the "plaintive heights of Damien Rice"; "tenor reminiscent of Duncan Sheik." But by any standards, his 2007 solo release “Songs to Undress Your Ego” establishes him as a unique talent in his own right. "Ego" has been hailed as “an exploration of the tender and mostly hidden parts of being human…through 11 impeccable songs,” and garnered local and national recognition. In the last year, D'Alessio has shared the stage with the best in his genre: Colby Caillat, Brett Denen, Lifehouse, Missy Higgins, Rocco de Luca, and Newton Faulkner...to name a few. He has also completed 2 tours of the western US and one of Ireland in support of his CD. The single, “Savor the Cold” has been and frequently heard on local and clear channel radio. D’Alessio has also been a featured performer at the Durango Songwriter’s Expo and performed on NBC’s Arizona Midday show.
D’Alessio’s melodic songwriting expresses his carefree, reflective style drawn from pop, rock and latin with his own unique twist. Songs pull from a rich emotional palette and his high tenor confidently handles his memorable melodies and heart-wrenching lyrics. D'Alessio explores the tender and mostly hidden parts of being human, the ability to give love and to cause hurt, to be careless and to enrich.

David. Come see us sometime soon. Lot's of local gigs on the books. First/last time we talked was St. Patty's Day (file under "what were we talking about?")
I assume you are referring to Jeff Smith? If you are...he is an amazing artist with tremendous talent, person and the most loyal friend anyone could ask for.
How have you been? How are you dealing with the heat? Have you decided if and where you are going to move to?
Five thousand eight hundred and twenty-two friends?!? A little pretentious, don't ya think? Some of us peons only have 4 (and that's including 'Tom'). Come up to myspace and "see my sometime"! I would be honored if you left a comment...
Now my whole comment once again in english ...:)I think I was in my thoughts and dreaming..
