About me:

Charity grew up being about government water rights and how to be private. Her early works included cut-out paper characters that were primarily performed for her stuffed animals in her closet.

She attended a private school in Massachusetts, which encouraged her artistic ventures by presenting her the “Fine Arts Department Award”. She then progressed to make art installations and experiences at Rhode Island School of Design.

Her eye for the visual composition was rewarded early on with a group show at the Woods Gerry Gallery of her art piece entitled "family". Which comprised of the root of a very large tree turned upside down and held precariously by five 1" dowels five feet above the ground.

As Charity started working in the film/video industry, she was called upon by others to express her opinion. She spoke at the World Peace Conference held in Hiroshima at the Peace Memorial Museum in 2006. She was on the cover of Le Monde 2 (issue 31, in 2004) for the article "Les Americains". Radio France interviewed her, in 2004, for her political viewpoint on the then upcoming election. She also participated in the video project by Yann Arthus-Bertrand called "6 Billion Others", which exhibited at the Grand Palais from January 10 through February 12, 2009.

She has worked on numerous independent films as Director, Editor, Cameraperson and Script Supervisor. Under the collaboration, known as Good Boy and Girl, the prize "Director's Special Recognition" was awarded for the short film "Introduction" at the San Francisco Short Film Festival in 2006. "Introduction" was also an official selection at the following film festivals in 2006: Indianapolis Fringe Film Festival and St. Louis International Film Festival.

On a more personal note. Charity is working on a project about her father, former Chairman of the Navajo Nation, Peter MacDonald, Sr.

Most recently, she has turned her keen eye and experiences toward a little bit of music editing and some artistic self-reflection entitled "CHARITY DATUM".

Who I'd like to meet:

on a park bench, in a different country, over the bright blue sky, in the bend, around the bridge, under the mountains, through the water, during a critical time, after a cathartic experience, across the universe... not sooner than now, not later than then, not other than the time in which we begin.
