Music video: "Kap Farvel til Ümánarssuaq"(Gasolin' cover)
Well my (drum)story starts back in 1990. A day at school. I started playing drums in Music Class, starting off by jamming with my teacher to Smoke on The Water w/Deep Purple. My teacher encouraged me to be serious with drumming. Years passed by and I learned different styles of music. But one problem remaind, I didn't have my own drumkit. Summer of '94, I went on vacation with my family to Denmark. I had saved money, and bought my first drumkit in Denmark. It was a cheap kit named CB Percussion, but the brand didn't mean anything, it's not the brand that make the drummer, it's how you develope your style that matters. In the following years, I jammed a lot with my brother developing my style slowly. Those were the days! Then came the requests from friends who wanted me to join their bands, I played in bands who were inspired by grunge-music like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains. After that era I started in High School in '97. I met with Anda Uldum, which later is my band-mate in DDR now(So we have been playing music together now for over 10 years, nice) The first day I met him, he put on a cd with a danish band called Psyched Up Janis. I instantly reacted: "Hey, I know this band!!!" Anda could play the guitar-parts, and I the drum-parts. The day after we started rehearsing at the school with our friend Karl Frederik on bass.
A year and a half went on with Andabus, then our ways were parted.
Some years after, I met up with the 3 Uldum brothers. They needed a drummer for the band. I instantly said yes to join the band, and have been the drummer ever since.
We have recorded 2 albums, the first Siulleq(The First) from 2002, and Kaar! from 2004.
January 2005 we recorded a cover by Danish rock-band Gasolin' called "Kap Farvel til Ümánarssuaq"(see our musicvideo for that song here on my page)
The song is on a compilation(protestsange.dk) were new rock bands from Denmark participated, it was a great honor to a part of that album.
Otherwise we have played almost in all of the cities in Greenland, played 2 venues in Denmark(Gimle & Tivoli) and in Kuujjuaq(it's in Nunavik, Quebec, Canada) at the annual Aqpik Jam.

Rasmus Lyberth Band på Galleri Galschiøt. Torsdag d.23/10 kl.20.00.
