APPLICATION
Rarely does a person achieve even mild success
without applying some degree of
perseverance, or "gameness," at some point along the way. Often, it is that persistence alone that enables success. Throughout history, some of the world's greatest leaders have proven "dead game."
From Jesus Christ to Joan of Arc to Mohandas Gandhi to Martin Luther King, Jr. Would their mystiques and legacies be
what they are today had they quit at some point during their journeys short of achieving what they had set out to achieve or proving what they were trying to prove? More than likely, they are held in such high esteem not just because they died while pursuing their goals but because they were willing to give their lives for their respective causes. In the process, they endured an almost unfathomable degree of suffering for no reason other than the fact that they believed in what they were doing, while all the while, others chastised them and attempted to obstruct their paths. To no avail. That is admirable. That is uncanny. That is
Dead Game.
Dead Game was started in 2000 by brothers Tim and Scott DeLorenzo while they were attending University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Time graduated with a degree in Business Management and Scott graduated with a degree in Business Marketing. Both brothers realized that if they utilized their creative talents they might be able to create a successful business. The inspiration for creating
Dead Game, you could say, was derived from the competitive personalities of the DeLorenzo brothers. Both brothers competed in football, track and field, baseball, basketball and other sports. It was in 1997 when Scott, an avid animal and dog lover, was introduced to the American Put Bull Terrier. The brothers both fell in love with the competitive personality and never give up attitude of the breeed. Time and Scott recognized that the pit bull symbolized, not only to Americans, but to almost every culture in the world, that same never give up attitude which is referred to as gameness. Hence the name of the company
Dead Game and the company tagline Purpose, Pursuit, Perseverance.
Dead Game is built on the assumption that companies in the clothing and apparel industry are not giving customers exactly what they want. Controversial and edgy products are a sign of the times, and the industry needs a company that will go over the top and provide these types of products while still portraying a positive and distinct message. Through openness to suggestions and extensive customer input, Dead Game will become this company: a microcosm of the market and a representation of the beliefs and attitudes of its customers.
Dead Game Inc. is committed to providing previously non-existent ideas to the clothing and apparel industry. Constantly striving towards what its markets desire, we will not be opposed to issuing edgy and controversial products in order to expand our brand name recognition. Through superior creativity and long-term vision,
Dead Game will become a household name associated with cutting edge fashion and unparalleled presence.
In time,
Dead Game will mature into a comprehensive clothing line that will become synonymous with its customers' interests. As a leader in the clothing and apparel industry, it will have the necessary influence to represent an entire generation and become instrumental in the expression of that generation's convictions.
Dead Game will parlay this leadership into the expansion of its business to other non-clothing industries applicable to its target markets.
