About Deadbeat Release is coming 09.01.10!

BIO

Deadbeat is a melodic metal band, originated in Enschede (the Netherlands). Combining five styles representing each members input, it totals to an explosive and unique sound. Their debut EP ‘Redefinition’ was released in March 2008 and was received well by the critics of several magazines. September 2008 they joined forces with their new vocalist Donovan. From that moment on the machine called Deadbeat started running tighter, faster and harder.

Deadbeat was founded back in 2006, trying to bring something new to the scene. They bring you hardcore yet melodic metal from the heart. Due to their pounding beats, hard riffs and bloody screams, Deadbeat has an eye-opening, ear-popping live performance, which makes your body stir in the crowd. With a lot of venues left to play their asses off and their ever-growing fan base, the rise of Deadbeat seems inevitable.

August 2007 Deadbeat recorded their 5 tracked EP “Redefinition” at the Sample Temple (Enschede). A true EP to show the world a new angle on metal. A point of view which stands out in todays emo-crowd. “Redefinition” shows Deadbeats dedication to and philosophy on music. Some professional thoughts on Redefinition:

Fall 2008 Deadbeat decided to part with former singer Jozef de Paauw. Publicly it seemed silent for a few months, but behind the scenes things were going fast. Before they even started searching Donavan Pinontoan walked in and convinced them he was the right guy for the job. Within a few weeks he already found the perfect balance between his bloody screams and catchy phrases. With their new found muscles more brutal songs were created and they are ready to kick your ass.

Some thoughts about "Redefinition":

...De emocore wordt met veel overgave gebracht en die explosieve sound is er inderdaad wel aanwezig. Voor een “beginnende” band is het vaak lastig om een echt strakke sound neer te zetten, al dan niet door de kosten daarvan, maar Deadbeat is dit in ieder geval wel gelukt. Naast dit alles is ook over het live-element nagedacht, wat bijvoorbeeld te horen is aan de breakdown in ‘Never Will Be A Good Time’. Dat er naast dat groene biertje meer positieve dingen uit Enschede komen, wordt eens te meer bewezen door dit vijftal. Deze emo/metalcore-band heeft namelijk met ‘Redefinition’ een prima debuut de markt op geslingerd en dat is iets waar ze trots op mogen zijn...

..Redefinition sounds professional and will especially please fans of 36 Crazyfists or Atreyu and its sorts... A lot of the variety in their songs, comes from the vocalist. He ranges from clean to screams and less often a grunt or a little rap-part... I hope the future holds more songs like The draining in store for us, that’s the last song on their EP and immediately the best one. It’s a song where everything fits as it should... They can be proud of the result and have the potential to reach the next level...
