Dead Beat Hero’s was a Punk Rock band based in Glasgow. It all started after Lucky 13 split up Budgie was looking to start a new band, He and his mate went off to a local Punk Rock gig to see 4 Past Midnight and the negatives play at the Spirit Bar in Glasgow. Where Budgie met Sick’s, they started talking thought what bands they where into and decided to start a band up. After that night Budgie got busy tracking down a bassist and a drummer. We got all the member set up with-in the week we decided on a practise on the 2nd of November. The practise went in shambles as the drummer we had got didn’t show up. But we still went over our first 4 songs. We ended up with a next practise a week later this time with a real drummer. Our line up was; Budgie, Sick’s, Marky (Badniks) and Adam (ex-Murderburger) we got our first gig for January with the Negatives and No Eager Men. The month past and we played our gig after the gig Marky had to be replaced we tried out a few bassists but no-one worked so Budgie ended up taking up Bass playing. A few gigs done and the line up changed again we got in new boy Div which we later called Fingers in. Which was a great line up this followed on for the rest of the year as we played a handful of gigs including UK Subs. Budgie and Sick’s where constantly falling out so one of them had to go by the end of the year Sick’s couldn’t make a gig for short notice the rest of the band couldn’t cancel out. So Budgie took up on guitar and we got in a new bass player Cracks. We played the gig and the gig went amazing. A day after Sick’s found out we played without him and started threatening so we had to just get rid of him, we got in Cracks full time. We concentrated on a new band set we ended up writing a bunch of brand new songs and played our last 4 gigs before breaking up for reasons still not known.
Dead Beat Hero's are currently thinking of recording an album or playing some new gig, in the future by the end of the year. Maybe be some new member but will be the Dead Beat Hero's sound. Budgie, Cracks and Chris Scum will be hooking up sometime to start recording and writing some new songs.
Started Nov 2006. Braked in May 2008.
