We're two simpletons whom started playing together in September of '05. One was done with his old musical life and had just become a new father, the other was at a loss in space completely and totally ready to quit everything. We sure found each other at the right time and place! There were others that had a part in the vision that became the creature that is D.C. through many tours and endeavors (Margret Follmer & Shawn Defraites), and as much as we love love them so, we felt D.C. had become a spirit filled by the soul that was in the both of us singularly and completely. A duo was forged out of our insane ideals and the steadfastness of never having to deal with a "third. (We love bass players, but just not in THIS band or at least for now)." In our love and voice of all things that we ARE, this is us, good and bad...lazy and sharp. We never try to be anything we are not, yet all the things we wish to achieve with a super vigor. We are inspired by the best things around us for those are the things that keep us grounded. Thank you for the bands and artists that keep it real, you know whom you are..you are our inspiration and forever keep us on our toes...please always keep it evil....
We love shitloads from BORIS to NEUROSIS, SONIC YOUTH to ZEPPELIN, FLOYD to CARCASS, with heaps of old punk stuff and new metallish stuff....go figure.
We are a ridiculous touring machine and with the help of bands and folks alike we've played everywhere from Seattle to Orlando and Rhode Island to San Diego and everywhere between!
Yeah, we've been really lucky to play with bands as cool as INDIAN, MINSK, SOURVEIN, JUCIFER, HACKMAN, KYLESA, AKIMBO, GRAVES AT SEA, BLACK ELK, GAZA, RAISE THE RED LANTERN, FACEDOWNINSHIT, LANDMINE MARATHON, CATHETER, AMENRA, LEBANON, ROSETTA, GENGHIS TRON, TOTIMOSHI & INTRONAUT (plus hundreds of others...WE DO LOVE YOU ALL!), but do you really care whom we namedrop?
