1. DDM are on a mission to go where no other lyrics go. The aim is to inform and entertain. DDM deal with some serious shit. DDM have always had conscious lyrics, but their style is to weave a tale illustrating a wider point rather than chanting slogans. DDM are a modern example of the tradition of bards, folk tellers and griots. DDMs wordsmith is a godamm lyrical miracle.

DDM stand against injustice and downpression. Historically they have put their limited amounts of money where their much bigger mouth is. For example, most of the gigs they have done have been benefits for various causes. DDMs earliest recorded outbreak was at the time of the Poll Tax. From The Begining the band were committed to the campaign against the tax. In the years since they have fought against fascism and racism while supporting Community Defence, animal rights and anti-roads campaigns. To DDM a shit kicking party is a political thing.
DDM unequivocally state their inalienable right to do anything if the money is right. We stand ready to bend over and /or suck. So make us an offer we cant refuse.
