About me:

Originally a surfer from Cornwall.
Male 33 with a love of camo clothing, breaks, punk and rock, gadgets, surfing and a major trainer fetish.
Hyperactive and socialbale and one half of breaks act Robosapiens based in Bristol Uk.Also co owner of Deadfamous Records.
Started at the end of last year by the Robosapiens Dead Famous has in a very short time picked up support from the breakbeat comunity.Selling out on their first release Robosapiens - Chasing The Buzz / Monkey Drummer (4.5 DJ Mag,4 IDJ) The Robosapiens are definately an act to watch out for both in the studio and their tearing DJ sets.
ABOUT ROBOSAPIENS:
The combination of a drum 'n' bass graduate and a techno survivor, Robosapiens uncovered a mutual interest in breaks that has lead to some memorable gigs and studio successes. The Robo/Sapiens Jamie Flukes and Steve Kyte - met while DJing breaks at parties around Bristol, a club scene both knew well from years of service in the city.
Jamie had previously earned his stripes as a resident for Drive By, Bristol's leading drum 'n' bass night, as well as gigs for other promoters including Bulletproof in Cardiff and Pink Lime in Bristol. His early support for the nuskool breaks sound earned further DJing spots around the country, notably with the Y3K Tour and on the road for IDJ Magazine. He was also allegedly responsible for the GM Dollar bootleg that sold over 3000 units and won the Red Nose Day DJ battle for Pete Tong that year. Jamie has pushed the Robosapiens sound abroad with regular visits to Japan playing Tokyo's prestigous WOMB. Formerly one half of techno outfit The Pranksters, Steve is no stranger to the studio or club environment and has DJ'd throughout the UK and Europe.
After developing a taste for breaks he started adding his own twist to the sound, and has put his love of the 303 to good use in the Robosapiens.
Their music draws on their former styles, adding a tech edge to rolling breaks with some deep tracks and some upbeat ones - all capable of igniting dancefloors.
More recently the boys have been flat out playing up and down the country as well as busy in the studio. The next Robosapiens release is going to press "Whats Wrong / Come On " and more dancefloor bangers waiting in the wings to follow.
