    Started at the end of 2005 by the ..Robosapiens.., Dead Famous, in a very short time picked up support from the breakbeat community - selling out on their first release, Robosapiens - Chasing The Buzz / Monkey Drummer. Focusing more on chunky acid breaks, Dead Famous really hit the niche market, and hit it hard, finding continued success throughout 2006, and 2007. It’s worth noting that Dead Famous were big on breaking new artists at the time, such as ..Break the Box.., ..Pimpwax.., ..Jinx.., and ..Hyperion.. (now signed to U&A as Loops of Fury). The label took a hiatus in 2008 as both the Robosapiens welcomed new additions to their respective families. However in 2009, upon the hiring of a new label manager, and a renewed drive to make the label succeed, Dead Famous has once again become standard talk when discussing breakbeat. Branching out into new territories, 2009 saw Dead Famous release breakbeat, techno, house, drum and bass, and dubstep, although all with the signature DF vibe. Signing new artists such as ..LuQas.. and ..Fisso & Spark.., and the Robosapiens donning their production caps again, coupled with a blistering release schedule saw Dead Famous earn a nomination as one of the top 5 finalists for best label @ the ..2010 Breakspoll.. awards in London. The Robosapiens current techno direction has also earned them much praise, as their tune “The Nine” recently reached 1 on the Trackitdown Tech House / Minimal Chart... Looking forward to 2010, Dead Famous has signed new artist ..Home Alone.., as well as veterans ..Stephen Cole & Matthew McCurry.. to the already loaded roster in the effort to make 2010 even bigger than 2009. 2010 sees the release of the stacked remix LP, featuring remixes from a who’s who in breaks – ..Myagi.., ..Kraymon.., ..Kultur & Colombo.., ..LuQas.., and many others, as well as a blinding techno remix from the Robosapiens – who are also working on their debut album for release this year. ....Keep it Evil in 2010...
