Dead Man's Party is dedicated to recreating the Oingo Boingo experience. We are not just a band covering their music, but work hard to deliver Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo's music true to its original sound. Thanks for checking us out!
Dead Man's Party started forming in the later part of 2000, mainly to put the Boingo back in Halloween for Southern California. Since Oingo Boingo called it quits in '95, the DMP founders felt that the holiday would never be the same without them. So began the endeavor to re-create the Halloween cheer that we and so many other Southern Californians had come to know as Oingo Boingo's "Dead Man's Party."
The band started out with Rob on vocals, Axel Clark on drums and Mike Ryon on lead guitar. The three had worked together before; both in the studio and in another band. Things seemed to click pretty well, so they slowly recruited the rest of the band.
On October 26, 2001 Dead Man's Party played their first show at the House of Blues, Anaheim. It had been a long journey, and now they faced a packed house of Oingo Boingo fans expecting to be entertained... or else. Thankfully, the crowd accepted us and the show went great.
Though the band members had really intended Dead Man's Party to be primarily a Halloween band, people kept asking when they were playing next. In response DMP started booking other shows throughout the year, and have continued to play venues, events, parties and even weddings ever since! After a few band member changes and over five years later, DMP continues to perform about once a month, entertaining true Boingo fans and newcomers alike, keeping the Oingo Boingo message alive for all!

THIS IS NOT WHAT WE DO LIVE. This cover was recorded per fan request, and does not represent what DMP sounds like in performance. If you want to hear us play "Dead Man's Party" live, check out the video in our Videos section. Thanks!
