deadmary was formed in June, 2002 by Guitarist Tom and Bassist Ian. In early 2003, guitarist Dave and drummer Greyson joined and completed the once marry-go-round line up of drummers, singers and second guitarist. With Tom stepping up to the mic, the band somehow recorded the now legendary 2004 EP "First Blood". The band crumbled shortly after with a string of violent shows, Greyson quiting everyother day, and Tom moving to a far away place called New Jersey. By the time Tom moved back in 2005, Greyson had rejoined and the band seemed ready to roll on, but then Greyson quit (again). So being unable to hold on to a drummer for more then two weeks at a time, deadmary disbanded. In the summer of 2006 Tom and Dave joined anther band, OFD. They somehow talked OFD drummer Dave H. to play in deadmary, and just like that the band was on it's feet again. For some unknown reason, Tom no longer wanted to sing anymore. Dave then set down his guitar stepped up to the mic, bringing a whole new sound to deadmary. Dave H. soon left the band to go be "Indiana Jones" and was soon replaced by the great Eli. With this great line up, deadmary will step into a living room studio and record there first LP "Running for Jesus". Mixing oldschool hardcore punk like Black Flag, Bad Brains and Minor Threat with modern street punk. deadmary now seems unstoppable.
And then Eli quit so now we have Grayson again. Eli is back in the saddle again. But then Eli quit ten minutes before we were supposed to go onstage and now we have Scottie.
And now Dave quit so it's just three of us now. Tom does a bitchin job on vocals. This also means that we only have to split the money 3 ways now instead of 4 ways. Because we're making bank at all our shows.
I don't even drink beer. Usually, sickness doesn't stop me. But I was puking so much it made my whole body hurt. I'm shocked people missed us. How are those fliers coming along for the voodoo show there deadmary?
