Dead Men Sway was conceived in fall of 2004 by Bassist / Vocalist, Jack Roemer, and Drummer, Keith Thomas. After a revolving door of Guitarists, Rye Linthicum completed the lineup in the summer of 2005.
Rye's blended style of guitar playing brought a perfect mixture of color, obscurity, and emotion which took the groove of Dead Men Sway to a whole new level.
In October of 2006, we released " Boombabba ", which captured the essence of what we are all about. Straight up Rock and Roll with undeniable hooks and infectious groove.
" Boombaba " would be the only recording with Rye as the band came to a screeching halt on December 4, 2007 due to his tragic and untimely death.
The future of Dead Men Sway was as uncertain as it could possibly be. Would we find someone that could complete the band the way that Rye did, and more importantly, did we even want to.
After almost a year we decided it was time to answer those questions. After multiple guitar auditions we found exactly what we needed to bring our band back to it's feet again.
In comes Dana Ortt, who proved to have the ability to replicate our music as well as be an asset to writing new material.
We are very excited to be playing again and we hope that you are too!!
