Formed in 1993 as Adrenochrome, the original line-up consisted of Tory (vocals/guitars/programming), Matt Holliman (guitars), and a Mac IIsi. Many a year would pass before the band known as Dead Pornography came to be. Les Hardy (bass/keyboards) joined up in 1999 and DP suddenly had an identity as an industrial rock act. At the end of that same year Matt departed and was replaced for a short time by John Phillips (guitars). In 2000 Adam Easterly stepped into the guitarist's shoes and has stayed ever since. A 4 track EP was recorded but never released (the begining of trend). In 2001 Steve Williamson (guitars) was added to the line-up but parted ways in 2003. In the fall of 2005 Rob Tanner (guitars) began playing with DP and the band signed to upstart Obscured Records. Just as the first full length album (Don't Forsake Me, Oh My Darling) was about to be released the band was dropped from Obscured Records for being "too mainstream." Having already moved on to a second album, Fake, Dead Pornography moved in a more electronic direction. With yet another lineup change Dead Pornography shed it's past to become Dear Anna on the eve of the release of Fake.
