ABOUT US:
DEAD PRESS! is an independant alternative music journalism webzine, that hosts reviews, interviews, and other feature articles from many of today's alternative music acts, aswell as alternative fashion and other things. The bands featured on the site range from big and popular names like Lostprophets and Fall Out Boy, to establishing names like 36 Crazyfists and The Blackout, and even small and underground bands like Title Of Injustice and Rumour Has It.
The webzine was started, run, and originally soley written by me; Zach Redrup. Since starting the site in 2007 I've now recruited a group of contributing writers to keep you readers up to date with reviews and interviews of the latest and most exciting acts in the scene.
PAST BANDS / CLIENTS:
To this date, we've done work for 200+ bands and artists, and want to increase that much more by working with as many acts as possible - both big and small. A few bands and artists we've written for in the past include Bring Me The Horizon, Job For A Cowboy, The Devil Wears Prada, blessthefall, Kids In Glass Houses, Reuben, You Me At Six, Go:Audio, Fightstar, and many others.
For a full and complete list of all 200+ bands, please visit the site and follow the 'BANDS' link on the header bar.
HOSTED SONGS:
I will no longer be hosting songs from releases I have recently reviewed or of bands I have recently attended shows at, due to copyright laws and infringements restricting me to do so. The two songs currently on the page are trying to be removed.
In future, any files hosted will be of audio interviews I've done with bands, or if a band/artist has requested for me to do so.
BOOKING / AVAILABILITY:
We're always looking for new and exciting bands/artists to do work with and labels to make press/promo deals with. Unlike some music journalism sites and groups out there we're not looking for any money for our services, we're just in it for the experience and because it's our passion. At times we may ask for a small amount of money for live reviews just to cover travel costs, but that's a rarity.
If you want an interview sorted out, a show reviewed, or a CD that you've recently released or are about to release soon and want a review writing up, then send an e-mail and we'll sort something out. Please note though, that with live reviews and face-to-face interviews, we may only be willing to travel to places that won't cause to much hassle or expense to reach.
You will have to book in advance to arrange these though, so please check our schedule above and e-mail quickly to avoid disappointment.
Much more information regarding rules about getting something reviewed or an article written up for you can be found on the 'ABOUT' page of the DEAD PRESS! website. Simply head to the site, and click on the 'ABOUT' link to find out more.
CONTACT US:
If you're interested in getting an article written for your band, if you're a label and want to sort a press/promo deal with future releases, or if you want to leave some feedback about my work, then please get in touch via one of the following methods, and I'll respond to you as soon as possible:
E-Mail: deadpress@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks so much for visiting the profile, and hopefully you enjoy what we've written on the DEAD PRESS! website.
A special thank you to all of the bands and artists I've worked for in the past, and labels/managers/bands/press companies who've made all of this possible.
