"Donald, 40, applied for the role of England bowling coach last year, a role which was given to Kevin Shine."
Good old Fletch. Not only a master of team selection, but staff selection as well.
Some idiots might have thought that hiring one of the great fast bowlers, and fast bowling tacticians, of recent years might have been a good move. But Fletch realised that a former county trundler with the ability to fuck up everyone's actions via biomechanics was just the ticket.
And look at the results. Look at the magnificent effect Shine has had on Harmison and the rest of the England attack.
And if you happen to be in town tonight,I will be performing with my full band @ The Derby!! That's Right, the show WILL GO ON!!! I know due to the fire's there has been confusion... but the show is happening!!! 11:00pm!!
It's going to be a great night of music! Travis Warren, the new lead singer of Blind Melon is playing, I'm playing... It's gonna be awesome!!
So if you're around and want to go, just hit me back and I'll put you on my discounted guest list:)
At any rate, thanks for being a friend. Take care.
Sad end for Lara. It's a shame that the shitness of the rest of his team has put him under such pressure. He could easily have played on into his 40's. I reckon he's got a dozen great innings in him yet.
On the other hand, WI really needed rid of his captaincy.
Another slightly disproportionate celebration from KP, I noted. He under armed the stumps from front on 3 feet away. You're only allowed a clenched fist or mini air punch for that. Finger aloft laps of honour are normally reserved for run outs of some difficulty.
It's almost like the keeper going nuts about taking the bails off.
Can't help but like the dude, though. Something to do with the imperious dismissal of cricket balls from his presence.
It's looked a sure bet through the entire tournament that Vaughan and one other of the top 3 at least would produce turgid, fruitless vigils to start the innings off with a whimper. Pietersen and Collingwood would do what they could in the middle of the innings, paving the way for Flintoff to bat like a number 11, and for Nixon or Bopara to hang in there as best as they could while the tail self destructed.
Yesterday however, like a blinding flash of surprise, it was exactly the same.
