Today’s musical landscape is made up of numerous sounds, musicians and styles. One of the biggest sounds is the reemergence of thrash metal. Using the hard working, poverty-stricken, blue collar philosophy that their hometown was built on, Flint, Michigan’s Deadringer brings over a decade of experience to the table with a full on assault on the ears. Formed in 2005 Deadringer is currently made up of dueling lead guitarists Derek Fletcher and T.J. O’Malley, bass player Marshall Barnett, drummer Jim Suit and vocalist Gabe Allen. The band formed from splinters of a number of influential Flint metal bands such as Skin Casket, Foundation of Power, Eyes of Dominance, A Murder of Crows and Dejection. Since its inception, Deadringer has produced a self-titled demo in 2008 and laid it with a very good combination of old school death and thrash metal with many modern elements. Along with high quality production, and a lot of groove Deadringer brings professionalism to all aspects of their show that only comes with such experience. A tightly woven, full sounding, thrash entity, Deadringer is ready and willing to bring their brand of American metal to your stage. The band has shared the stage with a number of today’s biggest metal acts like Superjoint Ritual, Devildriver, Machinehead, Mushroomhead, and Chimara just to name a few. Citing all of the greats i.e. Slayer, Testament, Lamb of God, Pantera ,Devildriver, Killswicth Engage,Hatebreed, Down, Gojira and more as influences, Deadringer brings a bar brawling energy to the stage with powerful riff driven songs, thundering rhythm section, and in your face vocals. Be prepared for the nuclear punch in the face that is Deadringer. DEADRINGER is in FULL THROTTLE and playing shows and writing songs. KEEP AND EYE OUT for show postings and bulletin updates and if your new here, add yourself AT ONCE!
"Deadringer is another great band I've found through Myspace. They come from USA and in their debut self-titled demo release they present us a very good combination of old school death and thrash metal with many modern elements. Their sound has influences from bands like Pantera, Testament or even Lamb Of God and the 9 tracks of this release are very interesting and promising. The production is very good, with a lot of groove, and this makes the listening even more pleasant. There are some standing out tracks like "Eternity In Hell", "Breathe" and "In The Eyes Of God" but the whole demo is in high standards. It's pretty good to see that most bands nowadays don't need 2-3 demo releases in order to acquire some recognition or improve their compositions. Bands like Deadringer seem to know what they want to do and they present it in their debut release. Fans of death/thrash metal (the American way) should check Deadringer. Labels should do that too but I’m sure this is something not too far away from reality... Very good demo guys, keep on thrashing!!! 10/01/2008 Bleeding/ HARM MAGAZINE
