The Bay Area has always been the true home of thrash. That's why it's no surprise that Oakland based band Deadringer produces a high energy, neck breaking, ear bleeding style all their own that reminds you of what real metal is all about. With ripping leads, driving rhythms, thunderous bass and literally amazing drum work, all combined with unique and impressive vocals, Deadringer delivers a performance nearly impossible to equal.
"We consider ourselves a metal band, but we don't constrain ourselves to what people traditionally think metal is supposed to be. We're playing the music that we wanna play." - Anth0s, bass. Deadringer's heaviness and originality, along with their explosive live performances, contribute to a fast growing base of hardcore Deadringer fans..... "Sick fuckin' shit man, Sick fuckin' shit, you people should hit up New Mexico sometime, these fucks down here need to learn what metal really is" (random fan)
Deadringer's most recent studio effort, Deadringer II, exemplifies the band's heavy, unique sound with ten new tracks that are already earning critical praise and becoming fan favorites shortly after the release of the record. The full-length production album is available in stores and online now.
History of the band
Deadringer was originally formed in April 2004 and has existed in various forms in the subsequent years. After recording and touring with various temporary lineups the current configuration was put together in March 2006 by a group of like-minded metal heads with one simple goal: to play some mother fuckin' heavy metal. No rules, no boundaries, no egos, just pure fucking metal. And to that end, Deadringer has been rocking the fuck out ever since.
Deadringer's second full length effort, suitably entitled Deadringer II, is out now in stores and online. Look for a re-release of Deadringer I and an all-new studio album in 2009.
