"Bouncing along with unabashed pop happiness that Poscard Records would have loved to put out. Edwyn Collins should be proud his legacy is alive and well!" Rick Fulton, Daily Record
"their ska flavoured funk would get the dead up to dance. They don't do poetry... or subtlety, but they sure know how to fill a dance floor" The Bluesbunny
"An amazing live act that really took me by surprise" Jim Gellatly XFm Scotland
DSS, DSS, DSS....!..... Ah, the familiar cries of drunken funk hungry Soul
Fans. Music in itself one may argue... but merely the rude proclamation
that something good is about to happen...
Unfamiliar revellers will be bombarded with a gargantuan dose of filthy,
disco inspired bedlam. You see, this aint no technological breakthrough,
neither is it a swaggering inde sing along or angst ridden power punk.
This is the Dead Sea Souls.
Two years in the making the Dead Sea Souls have spawned their sound from
a string of illicit affairs with the Sunshine Underground, Chilli
Peppers, The Music, ... (among others who cant be named for legal
reasons). The Catchy, melodic bastard love child of all
things fast and funky. Far from being a certified pedigree the DSS
proudly boast their mongrel credentials by offering the dirtiest, most
unscrupulous musical smut around.
This is the Dead Sea Souls Ladies and Gents.... spin your way through the above tunes and keep and eye on this site for info and upcoming gigs.
I stay in Glasgow now so I'll catch you when you come through here. I'm doing sound at a couple venues so it takes up alot of time at night. See you soon. dave

Got a few vid's as well, but don't think my wee camera was up to the job of having the mic so close to the P.A. , other than sound quality the vid's are pretty good - I might shove them on youtube and let you all decide

Vic Galloway, BBC Radio 1. "The Strands sound like a muscular outfit who blend the lad-rock tendencies of Oasis and Kasabian with good, old-time, low-slung riffola reminiscent of Led Zep, Black Crowes etc. Loud and proud with their eye on the prize."
Jim Gellatly, XFM Scotland. "Hints of the Stereophonics with a bit of the Doors and Oasis coming through as well...Altogether creating a rather satisfying blend of driving indie rock. Tomorrow To Soon is certainly one of those tunes that sticks in your head and wont go away. "
