In the city of San Diego (Ramona) is where we reside. The Dead Serial Killers began in September of 2004 when drummer Jake Pucillo (former drummer of Flesh Peddler) and guitarist Joe Faust (former bassist/singer of De la corte and bassist of DIYM) began this manifestation. We knew from the first couple of practices that we had something real. It seem like we both of us were on the same page with how we wanted to sound and what style we both wanted to be. Just some fast, heavy, aggressive, hardcore metal mixed with some death metal type vocals. Something in your face, pushing you to the ground, crushing your skull hardcore death metal. Plus, we already had the perfect name for the project,
DEAD SERIAL KILLERS.
We were both excited about getting this project off the ground, but we quickly learned that finding others that are dedicated to playing music and being in a band is a lot harder than you might think. We struggled to find anyone with dedication, time, and ability until March of 2005.
A long time friend of both of ours, Anthony Lagrasso heard about what we were doing and was very instead in contributing to our music. Anthony had the right voice and the right attitude for the music that we play. A short time later he was in. We finally had a voice to our music.
From there we went thru bass players trying to find someone who could hang with us until 2006 when Shawn Davis entered the band. Shawn moved out to San Diego from Utah and had been in a number of previous bands. When we met up with him he just fit right in to what we are doing. He picked up our songs quickly and was ready to get out and start playing shows just as much as the rest of us. And that exactly what we did.
From that day on we became the FOUR PIECE FROM HELL, The DEAD SERIAL KILLERS. We are currently out playing shows, selling shirts and cd’s and trying to get our name and music out in this cold dark world. We have goals to record and get ourselves heard and make this band work for us. THIS IS WHAT WE LIVE FOR, THIS IS WHAT WE DO. We are
DEAD SERIAL KILLERS
