About DEADWEIGHT 2000 - 2008

Welcome to the brand new official Deadweight myspace! Finally we’ve made some updates to signify what we’ve been doing in the last few months, so first and foremost accept our apologies for the lack of news about our album release!

Our debut album is now available worldwide through FETO Records, instores everywhere and at all major online websites (Amazon, Zavvi, ASDA etc). Thank you to everyone who has already bought it! Your continued support has kept us going and we can only offer a heartfelt thank you and to keep on playing heavy heavy metal.

We are currently back on the gigging scene after a break and will be playing shows all over the country, including a soon to be announced UK tour! More news on that soon. We have 2 new shirt designs on the way, available at shows, at our BigCartel store and the Feto Records store.

Saturday May 23rd "The Bad Shepherds play punk songs on folk instruments. Not as a gag, but because we really like the noise. We think the songs are better than people remember. We love folk instruments. It works. We do songs by The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers The Jam, Sham 69, The Undertones, Talking Heads, Squeeze and others, even Kraftwerk! Alright, they're not all punk, but they come from roughly the same era. We've mostly given the songs a kind of Celtic feel, and we've stuck in the odd reel and jig here and there.
