Adam Baker (b. 1977 Dunfermline, Scotland) started the solo project Dead Wood at the end of 2002, exploring the varied worlds of microsound, soundscape, scattered beats, noise and sinewaves. Sometimes quiet, sometimes loud, these experiments are created using laptop, instruments, kids toys, contact mics, field recordings etc. Dead Wood performes live and has releases on labels such as Tibprod, Kabukikore, At War With False Noise etc. Adam is also one half of electronica duo I Before E, performs live in improvised electronic ensemble No Context and runs the Dirty Demos label.

HI Adam. Greg ere. Sorry for the massive time lapse in getting back to you. What can I say..I'm a lame ass! I am alive (just...currently recovering from a BMX accident!) Hope all is going OK for you? I see you have some stuff going on. I've been experimenting with some Gameboy music recently and the odd bit of circuit bending! Just complated a remix for a grindcore band - it's on my profile now.
