Biographie

Formé en 1997 par Guillaume Corsale (guitare), Phil Wax (basse), Seb Spadafora (guitare), Julien Milbach (chant) et Romain Silvano (batterie), Deafening Silence va jusqu'en 2000 faire évoluer son style musical vers un heavy speed mélodique. Après 3 démos, le groupe se sépare de Seb pour accueillir Mika Magagna dans ses rangs et en profite pour entrer en contact avec Brennus Music.
L'année 2002 sera reservée à la composition et à l'enregistrement du premier opus Edge Of Life qui sortira en mars 2003 sous la bannière Brennus. Deafening Silence tourne beaucoup pour promouvoir l'album et parvient même à décrocher la 1ere partie de Jeff Scott Soto lors de son passage en France en 2004. Edge Of Life sera aussi distribué en Russie via Maxximum Records, ainsi qu'au Brésil par Haunted Records.
2005 sera marqué par le départ de Julien mais surtout de son remplacement au pied levé par Nicolas Griette. Le combo se reconcentre sur la composition de nouveau matériel et ensemble, ils donneront naissance au successeur de Edge Of Life. Ils passent le debut d'année 2006 à enregistrer leur second disque mais en fin de cette même année, Romain leur annonce qu'il s'en va pour raison professionnelle. Eric Totti viendra au mois de décembre pour s'emparer du poste laissé vacant.
Backlash sortira en mars 2007, toujours chez Brennus, et marquera par son côté plus brut, plus heavy mais toujours mélodique. Cependant, un nouveau coup du sort frappe Deafening Silence en octobre avec le départ de Mika qui sera remplacé par Stef Koltes en décembre. L'année 2008 donnera lieu à une série de concerts (dont une soirée mémorable au Spirit of 66 à Verviers) et en décembre, le groupe décide de se séparer d'Eric. Après quelques auditions, Deafening Silence trouve son nouveau batteur en la personne de Yannick Pierre et se focalise sur la composition du troisième album.

Story

Born in 1997 with Guillaume Corsale (guitar), Phil Wax (Bass), Seb Spadafora (guitar), Julien Milbach (vocals) and Romain Silvano (drums), Deafening Silence will follow its own musical evolution until 2000 to a good heavy speed melodic. After 3 demos, the band releases Seb to welcome Mika Magagna in its ranks and contacts Brennus Music.
2002 will be the yeat for song writting and recording their first opus Edge Of Life that will be release on March 2003 with Brennus. Deafening Silence tours a lot to promote the album and succeeds to be the special guest for Jeff Scott Soto during his French tour in 2004. Edge Of Life will be released in Russia via Maxximum Records and in Brazil via Haunted Records.
In 2005, Julien leaves the band and the new frontman is called Nicolas Griette. The combo focuses again on song writting and together they will give birth to the successor of Edge Of Life. The first part of 2006 is exclusively for recording their second album but at the end of this year, it's now Romain that leaves the band. Eric Totti will take the vacated drums.
Backlash will be released in March 2007, still with Brennus, and everybody will hear a new sound, more raw, more heavy but always melodic. The twist of fate kicks the band again and Mika leaves in October and Deafening Silence welcomes Stef Koltes in December. During the year of 2008, the band will play several gigs but in the winter, Deafening Silence decide to split up with drummer Eric. After few auditions, they welcome Yannick Pierre behind the drums and focus on the writting process for the third album.
