I love to travel. Myself and my partner, Mighty Mike, took a year out from a hectic schedule between Sept '05 & Aug '06 to sample some new territories... Visited Russia, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Easter Island, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, New York, Pensylvania, Vancouver and finally back to Europe, spending the summer of '06 in Greece and Italy. It was an incredible journey!
I have recently ventured into the realm of video making. It has been a whole load of fun and is something I plan to expand apon... On this page are a couple of the short movies I made to go with some Toyah tracks from her most recent solo album 'In the Court of the Crimson Queen'. Check www.myspace.com/toyahofficial or www.toyahwillcox.com for more info and to see more of the videos. At the top of this page are two videos I created for The Humans (who are Bill Rieflin of R.E.M., Toyah Willcox, Chris Wong & (occasionally) Robert Fripp). I am currently working on more video projects which will be added here in the not too distant future...
I am collaborating with a fantastic team of people, including make-up artist Sean Chapman, designer & make-up artist Jez Eaton and stylist Lee Wright - the Toyah videos on this page are samples of some of our work together.
In an ideal world I'd like to step back in time to when Max's Kansas City was at it's creative peak in the 60's & 70's, and to meet some of Mickey's regulars - I'd probably be having a chat with Mapplethorpe about a joint project we were planning together, whilst being waited on by Debbie Harry.
I'd like to photograph more of my musical heroes and inspirations, and I'd like to assist James Bidgood on whatever his next project might be...
