I play a lot in the Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia area and a schedule of many of my shows can be seen here under my blog, my gigs or on my website at www.deandreyhoward.com. This myspace site is made possible with help from family and friends. One day I'll get a more complete bio for myself up here.
I grew up in Washington, D.C. mostly in Southeast around the time I started playing music. I listened to my older brother Tommy, who is also called T.C., start playing bass guitar with the Camaros Band out of Eastern High School, although he went to Cardozo. Then my other older brother Joe Howard started playing drums in some neighborhood groups, so my other older brother, Ricky and I followed suit and started playing. Before long we had a band called the Young Diplomats, playing for neighborhood dances. The Camaros Band would put us on a lot of shows with them.
As time progressed, some members of the Camaros moved on, and members of the Young Diplomats moved into the Camaros. Ricky Holmes our bass player in the Young Diplomats moved over to the Camaros to take Tommy's (T.C.) place and Robert Brooks moved over to take Steve Walker's place in the Camaros.
Other bands that I played with are Marie Allen and the Magnificent Seven, The Matadors and have set in with many of the areas top groups over the years meeting some of the top musicians growing up in the D.C. metropolitan area as well as those moving here and just passing through.

Hey Bro, I'm back from Nashville and I had a great time and met a lot of cool people down there. We played at the world famous Tootsie's as one of the showcases with Tommy Wood. I enjoyed the plane ride too. You got to come down to Charlottesville on a Monday night. I go down and play some jazz with this cat George Melvin on keys. If you're off, you got to get down here.
