Dean was born into a musical family.
He showed exceptional music ability at an early age-playing piano,harmonica & singing.
He didn't pick up the guitar till the age of 13 due to no availablity of guitar
teachers in his small home town of Corowa, New South Wales, Australia.
Early influences would include Tommy Emmanuel,Stevie Ray Vaughan,Strauss,Hank Williams,Freddie Fender,Bob Marley,Glenn
Miller,B.B.king,Cold Chisel,Dire Straits,Joe Satriani,Creedence,The Angels,The Sunnyboys,Goanna,Peter Tosh,Ray Charles,Stevie
Wonder,George Strait,Johnny Winter,Albert Collins,The Bondi Cigars,Merle Haggart,Les Paul,Django Reinhart,Charlie Christian
etc etc etc.
Dean sings & plays both electric & acoustic guitar as well as harmonica & bass.
His music is of a diverse range-from blues,funk,soul,reggae to country & folk.
Dean has played with Australin Country artist sisters, Tania & Fiona Kernaghan before enbarking on his own career.
Dean Has supported Ian Moss(Cold Chisel),Dutch Tilders,Joe Lewis Walker
(USA),the Choirboys & played with Perth Blues artist Rick Steele etc.
To Date, Dean has released 3 albums, "Talk To Me"(2002)-blues band album, "Songs From Everyday Life"(2004/released 2006)-
acoustic original & "Book Of Covers"(2006)-acoustic covers album with a new album "Parallels" due for release in 2007.
Dean is currently doing a national tour around Australia with The Kyla Brox Band-The Narooma Blues Festival(Nsw) & Bridgetown
Blues Festival(Wa) have been the highlights so far.
