I'd like to meet the people who played my little 1954 Martin guitar for all those years and put all that love and wear on it. I'd also love to know those folks who've played my 1880 Collin-Mezin french violin. Everyone who touched it, took such great care of it. It vibrates my whole body when I play it. I just think of all those hands that have played it before me and wonder if there is a bit of them left in the vibration of the wood that still rings when I play it now. That just blows me away!!
Influences
Stuart Duncan, Mark O' Connor, Bobby Hicks, Kenny Baker, Tommy Jackson, Howdy Forrester, Jason Carter, Patty Loveless, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris Emory Gordy Jr., Bonnie Raitt, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Peter Rowan, Nashville Bluegrass Band, Otis Redding, Roy Acuff, Charlie Cushman, My Grandfathers, Ricky Skaggs, The Whites, Dolly Parton and so many that I'll just keep this list going and add as I think of them.
I have just released a Christmas project. My dear friend, Melissa DuPuy and myself have been working on this thing for a year and we're very proud of it. It features Dale Ann Bradley, Jeff White, and some of my very talented students singing. If anyone is interested in getting a copy, you can via, itunes, cdbaby, here or just send me a message. THANKS!
I have been very blessed in my life to have toured with two of the greatest country singers of all time.....Patty Loveless and Vince Gill. I love really good music of all kinds. I love working with children and watching them soak up anything and everything that someone will teach them....I am so inspired by that!

Hey, I finally found someone to teach me playing the mandoline. Got my first lesson yet. Wish I could do it more often, but he's a musician too and so I have to be more patient. Try to do lessons myself. Once again, thanks for the wonderful gift. Have a beautiful and relaxed sunday, Doerthe from Germany
