Dean started out burning the midnight oil in various London studios. Not going to university, he decided to start work early and work his way up the old fashioned way. After his tea and coffee skills were finally up to scratch he got his hands dirty recording all manner of bands, experimenting with different engineering techniques. As tape recording started disappearing and hard disk became usable everything changed. With his musical influences of the time, Dean was then able to start experimenting with his own programming, creating more and more tracks to add to his back catalog. Developing his skills further Dean started mixing the recorded live band sound with his programming for some great results. After this Dean teamed up with his sister creating a sound for a band, he started doing live shows around London but although this was great fun and received incredibly well where ever they played he decided that his skills were better used in the darkness of the studio not the bright lights of the stage. Dean was working in Sphere Studios when he met up with Nitin Sawhney and was recruited to help finish a production of Cirque du Soleil's album 'Varekai'. After this Dean worked on Nitin's 4th album 'Human'. Dean continued to work with Nitin for over 6 years on many different projects varying from game music for Playstation 3 title 'Heavenly Sword' to music for US film Namesake, an adaptation of a Jhumpa Lahiri novel. Whilst Dean worked with Nitin he also managed to work on other great projects with some of the UK's best talent including Sugababes, GetCapeWearCapeFly, Natty, and Jason Mraz to name a few. This has now lead Dean onto doing his own productions working with independent and major labels with new and exciting artists happening from week to week.
