Rochester Institute of Technology (2005 to present)

Head of woodwind teaching studio. Responsible for developing individual instruction for saxophone and clarinet students for the development of technique, tone production and repertoire including jazz, classical, and improvisation.

Free Lance Musician, (1991 to present)

Played woodwinds (saxophones, clarinets, flute) with various professional groups including: Glenn Miller Orchestra, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Ben Vereen, Brian Scanlon, Bowzer (of Sha Na Na), Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Tito Puente, Orchestra Antonetti, Frankie Valley, Bobby Vinton, One Sweet World, Gap Mangione, Chuck Mangione, Ray Anderson, Phantom Planet, Dave Rivello Ensemble, Rush Gershon, Prime Time Funk, Rich Perry, Walt Weiskopf and others.

Saxophone / Clarinet Teacher, (2001 to present)

Provided individualized private instruction in all levels and styles to wide range of students (beginner to adult).

Rochester City School District, Rochester, NY (1998 - 2001)

Fourth Grade Classroom Teacher, Henry Lomb School # 20 Taught self-contained classroom with wide range of student abilities. Researched, prepared and implemented standards based instruction in all content areas. Member of building science and Mission Statement steering committees. Professional Development (Max Thompson-Learning Focused Schools, Applied Learning Workshop, Writer’s Workshop, ESPET scoring training). Participated in Career In Teaching mentoring program.

Glenn Miller Orchestra, (1996 - 1997)

Musician/sound technician: Toured world wide playing concerts on baritone saxophone, alto saxophone, clarinet, and bass clarinet. Additionally responsible for set-up, operation and maintenance of GMO sound system.

Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY (1990 - 1995)

Recording Engineer: Produced and engineered recordings of classical, jazz and contemporary music for the Eastman Audio Archive, commercial release, and private use. Other duties included: maintenance of equipment and facilities, outlining dept. policy, distribution of resources and equipment purchases.

Manchester-Shortsville Central School District, Manchester, NY (1994-1995)

Clinician: Conceived, organized and directed Summer Jazz Workshop at Red Jacket High School to introduce fundamental jazz theory and technique to instrumental students. Artist in Residence with high school jazz band, 1994-1995 season.
