Deanna Bogart describes her approach to music as: Bluesion.... it all grows out of the blues.... just doesn't always end there....
"After interning in western swing and R&B with Cowboy Jazz and Root Boy Slim, Bogart has fronted her own tight ensemble for over fifteen years. Playing dazzling piano and soulful saxophone, Deanna’s added the energy of boogie-woogie, contemporary blues, country, and jazz to create a unique fusion of musical styles. Her vocals and songwriting are as full of vitality as her playing – savvy, sensuous, and deep."
-- Amazon.com/music
"...possesses a gift for approaching blues, soul and R&B material with warmth and firmness. Her originals here, in particular the beautifully sung, intelligent ballads "Blue By Night" and "Tender Days," sound as fresh as if she'd magically plucked them out of the air."
-- Downbeat
"Her versatility is truly astounding."
-- ALLMUSIC
"...Bogart reveals the intersections between genres that have fed off one another for decades."
-- Blues Revue
"This woman is a troubador.
A teller of life stories and roads traveled."
-- BluesBytes.com
"Bogart plays a jumpin' piano ... that rollicks with a fast tempo and panoramic solos. ... a sound that transcends genre classification … The latest offering by Bogart is really good music."
–Rick Galusha, Blues Wax
"Luster, sophistication and soul"
-- The Washington Post

U cant POSSIBLY have time to go see some one else, WITH UR SCEDUAL,but I do apreciate ur comment. i actually have a memory since I stoped drinking, I really ddo remember when was it , 1859 when u were playing on one side of the street and I was on the other and u took all my bidness. we were black back then but u might remember, itw was a while ago. CHILLIN IN ANNAPOLIS NOW REMEMBR THAT. Sleep Hollow I call annapolis c ause u can really CHILL HERE. Everyone plays here PARTTIME WHEN THEY FINALLY RETIRE. So there is no night life, drugs, sex unless u like the just got off work look, with the beer in the hand. But it keeps me out of trouble and we would love to have u even if u only SLEEP, AND I MEEN A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP. PEACE AND LOVE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO PERFORMING WITH U IN THIS CENTURY.
Deanna, My Queen Bee. I am so proud of u. U are an inspiration. What a tour u were just on, and may still be on. Hope u are feeling OPTOMISTIC. My old friend Legendary Bobby Parker just hired me to play a gig with him at Madams Organ on Oct 17th. I am so gratefull for the opurtunity to finally get my work in front of the people BUT mainly I am so EXCITED about playing with a PLAYER, SINGER, SONGWRITER of shuch a HIGH leval as Bobby Parker. Hugh Feeley & Talk is Cheap my band is back to the basics-BLUES. Lottsa great originals but the people want the blues so now I am gona start to give em what they want and not what I want them to want. This has been a very sucess full summer for me. Pattie and I still have that open invite to come out and relax. we call our little home in Annapolis Land lue. Here when its time to relax we relax. Quiet-------------u can sleep, get away, or we can have a cook out like we talked about months, no years ago. Would love to work with u. Have a wonderful day.
