Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Deanna D'Amico-White was handed a guitar at the age of six by her Aunt Gloria, an entertainer, which woke her up to the dream of becoming a performer. Her journey began with her appearance in various film, television, videos and stage productions, as well as commercials. She has performed as a singer and dancer in Nashville, for Natalie Cole, as a member of the Young Americans, and as Disney animated heroines Ariel, Jasmine, and Pocahontas at Tokyo Disneyland.
Upon returning from Japan, Deanna bested all singers to become the overall "winner of the year" in a Los Angeles talent contest. She started gathering new song ideas with other co-writers, which led to her first solo CD, A Song For Me and You. The collection was released in February 2002 on Angel Song Records. Produced by Mandi Martin at the legendary EMG Studios in North Hollywood, the CD showcases Deanna's great vocal talents on eleven inspirational, country-tinged songs.
Her further collaborations as writer and producer with Kurt "Keys" Fries resulted in her current release, When I Play My Guitar which will be released on Angel Song Records in March 2008. This great new collection was produced by Kurt Fries and Deanna D’Amico-White. It features 13 new songs, most of them co-written by Deanna and Kurt over the past several years.
Deanna continues to perform with Kurt and her band at various venues in Southern California.
