DeAnna's first single “Goin Home” is off of her new CD recorded in Nashville called “Life Is Good”. Though DeAnna is still an unsigned independent artist, the staff at WWYZ felt her CD warranted their attention. Clear Channels’ 92.5 is an integral part of the country music scene in Connecticut and they felt that with their support, DeAnna could rise to national prominence with the leg up that WWYZ could provide right here at home. DeAnna has been performing throughout the northeast for the past thirteen years. Country 92.5 has been helping her to re-connect with all of her Connecticut fans.
Nashville Comes To Connecticut:
Deanna Mitchell of Bristol Connecticut, known for the past thirteen years to New England’s country music fans as singer front gal for the country music band “Due West” and “Deanna Mitchell and Dream Catcher” to the Mohegan Sun crowd has completed a brand new thirteen song CD titled “Life Is Good”. Recorded in Nashville with producer Ric Web and the world renowned “A” team studio musicians including Brent Mason on guitar and Paul Franklin on pedal steel, the CD is right up there with the best that Nashville has to offer. The songs were hand picked by producer Web and feature eight tunes penned by Deanna and her songwriting and performing partner Jeff Solomon. The other five offerings, also picked by Web are contributions right out of the Nashville song writing pool.
Deanna is no stranger to the recording studio. Having acquired a record deal four years ago with regional label Long Pond Music out of Mt. Pocono Pa, she has two studio CDs available for purchase and has enjoyed air play on over 2000 internet and broadcast radio stations world wide.
With the help of producer Web, Deanna’s new CD titled “Life Is Good” will break Deanna into the national arena demonstrating her incredible vocal stylings, energy and heart. There is something for every country music lover on this CD.
All of Deanna’s CDs are available on line at CDbaby.com, and many download sites including I- tunes and Sno Cap on Dee’s Myspace site. The CDs will also be available at the shows.
The first single off the new CD, a Mitchell/Solomon original called “Goin Home” can be heard in it’s entirety on the Deanna Mitchell MySpace site and received eight weeks of solid airplay on WWYZ FM country 92.5 in Ct. For more information, go to www.deannamitchell.com.

DEANNA MITCHELL spent her life prepping to become a country artist... but, she didn't know it until she took the stage with a band called Due West*. Born in Connecticut and raised in Missouri, Dee got her calling to country as a young girl courtesy of her parent’s vinyl collection. Thanks to many nights of seeing Robert and Florence cutting the rug to a CCR country groove, Dee caught the bug. After finishing school, she left home and led a gypsy’s life for more than a decade. From St. Louis to Calgary, Canada -- from Maine to Miami, Deanna sang -and lived - it all. Years of belting out the standards in ballrooms and rocking backwoods roadhouses helped to cultivate her incredible vocals. She had found her true talent but, lost her way in life. She almost gave up on trying to make it several times. Maybe the inner strength she tapped into as a cancer survivor helped her to keep on - keeping on. Or maybe that calling she had back in the day returned for a repeat engagement. One thing for sure -- it was music, country music - that helped her find her way -- and her way back home. Fast forward to 1997 and the last place on earth many people would mention in the same sentence with Country Music, Connecticut. But, what better a place to kick start the career of Deanna Mitchell. The missing ingredient was a band that could deliver the real thing. Then, along came Jeff and .Due West*. When Deanna teamed up with songwriter/guitarist Jeff Solomon and the Due West* band, things came full-circle she found her country groove. Deanna and the boys built a loyal following from down east Maine to New Jersey, taking country's greatest hits to the next level with their faithful, yet Dee powered renditions. From 2005 through 2008, Deanna was a featured performer at the world famous Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville Connecticut (referred to as "Nashville of the north") in their "Wolf Den" venue. Dee was doing 10 or more shows a season. With the release of her first CD “Damn My Heart, her second CD “Limited Edition”, and now her new Nashville CD “Life Is Good”, Deanna Mitchell is realizing her life dream. Quite simply, she's found her way home through her music, your music. Learn more at www.deannamitchell.com .
