Dear Augustine played their final show on the night of March, 13th 2006 after sixteen wonderful months together. That time, as well as our fans meant the world to us.
Since we are no longer together and we are each pursuing other interests, we are NO LONGER booking shows for other bands. We are sorry.
In the early winter of 2004 Dear Augustine was pieced together from the ashes of earlier Wichita, Kansas bands. The band quickly made a name for itself
around Kansas, with their energetic live shows and crowd interaction. After
numerous shows, the band emerged from the studio in February with a five song demo which sold a much greater amount than originally anticipated. Summer of 2005 saw the band journey on their maiden tour. Making their way across the South and the Midwest with their most recent release in tow, the self-financed five song EP, "Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been?", capturing the sound the band had been desperately working on since its formation.
In their short time together Dear Augustine has already played alongside such national touring acts as: Haste The Day, The Showdown, He Is Legend, Morning Call, Sherwood, This Providence, Bradley Hathaway, Umbrellas, Brandtson, The Rocket Summer, Lorene Drive, As Cities Burn, Calico System, In the Face of War, Where Eagles Dare, Sub Seven, Disciple, The Chariot, The Handshake Murders, Daphne Loves Derby, Hockey Night, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Goodbye Tomorrow, Lydia, The Stiletto Formal and New Atlantic.
Dear Augustine strive to spread a positive message to everyone who is willing to listen. The five hope to give their listeners more than just an average
show, by putting all of their hearts into what they do and being as
honest as they can with their music. This is what they love, and what they
would like to be doing more than anything.
