All-American Guitars (preferably B.C. Rich, Dean, Jackson, Michael Kelly and Fender but NOT GIBSON), cars, women, dragons, demons, angels, mythology in all forms, demented versions of kiddie cartoons, the occasional crackhead comedy spoof, anime, and some other stuff. I'm also an electromaniac and a pyromaniac.

About me:
Make up your mind, people. "Carmelo," "Caramel," "Marshmallow," or maybe just "Melo." I don't wanna hear you sitting there for five minutes trying to decide which of my nicknames you want to use. I usually won't pay much attention to you; it's thanks to you guys, you brilliant pieces of work, that I am who I am today, and I have some people to thank for who I am and what I've been doing in the past six years of my life, writing music, playing music, playing LOUD, listening to what I listen to and overall being an active person.
See, the main adversity I've faced throughout my years is Asperger's syndrome. It's like a trade-off: musical and academic skills for social, motor and speech skills, with the musical and academic skills taking the dominant side of the scale. For as long as I can remember, I've been pretty shy and introverted away from most of society. That all changed in 2002, when I lost pretty much everyone I'd had in the previous years as a friend and/or acquaintance, thanks to school stress, emotional stress and one particular case of arson, or so I believe. I became even more introverted in 2003 as a result of the death of the love of my life, who took her own life long before her time was up. I've erased the chapters of my life one by one, starting over fresh from square one at least 5 times, but hers is a memory I cannot erase - and, while I lay awake in bed every night, too afraid to sleep and too afraid to die, I question whether or not I actually should forget.
I'm open to everything and I have a problem with those who are not. See, that racist attitude is NOT my intention. We have enough pride to say that what we're doing is setting the stage for the next rockers. Thanks to 50 Cent's "stage setting", there won't be any people left to rhyme by the end of the decade. They'll have shot each other to death many times over before they got their stardom chance. And when one does rise above, he's next to get shot and his apprentices become part of the vicious cycle.
I'm otherwise open to different types of music and styles. I'm more of a rock/metal/punk person than a soft music person because it gets me moving, although I will listen to anything if it's good. R&B is good by me, the blues are quite amazing, and I'll go for salsa as well. Spanish classical guitar is amazing music, too. Hell, there was a point in my life where I even liked watered-down radio pop. Just give me anything but new-age rap like 50 Cent and T.I. As for other rap, such as The Roots and the Jurassic-5, I'm feelin' it. As a pastime, I play guitar, bass, and congas.
I'm also a lyricist and I can sing a bit, though in a low octave with a voice more suited to Staind-style rock than anything else. My equipment includes a BC Rich Deluxe Jr. V with EMG 85/81 pickups and an Original Floyd Rose tremolo, a BC Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird, and an "Esteban" acoustic guitar, all of which except for the acoustic can be viewed under my photos. I'm investing in other instruments as well, such as an electronic drumset and a pair of congas. My dream is to one day be in a major-label band and endorse BC Rich Guitars (they're undefeated in tone, as I have yet to find anything that I'd rather play) as a lead guitarist with a quilted maple top mahogany/maple/ebony neck-thru King V in a wine red burst, bound with abalone and mother of pearl, with gold Sperzel tuners and a Floyd Rose tremolo, and gold-covered Seymour Duncan LiveWire pickups. (For all you guitar geeks taking notes, this is the guitar you have always and will always dream of.) I am saving up to go to the Custom Shop to have one built for me, though this process has been slow and tedious due to lack of funds brought on by lack of a job. The only guitar I will never play is a Gibson, and if you see me playing one you have the right to tell me I'm a hypocrite. Their necks break very easily, period. It's not a personal vendetta, it's just that everybody and their mother plays one, Gibson is very cocky, and I want to be remembered as an individual. That's all anyone could ask.
What drives me is the need to be heard. It's when you see that change that you start to remember, "This is the real me." Only then do you really know yourself. Only then will anyone really know you or anyone else. Until I reach that, I've just got to have faith that our Horned God has plans for me. I want to live the way every other successful person has: proud of and faithful to everything I do. Otherwise, you're not living. Stay true to the music, get your kicks, get your pull. Just make sure to stop the second you feel out of place.
I like to keep the music, and everything in it, alive. I play everything: jazz, funk, rock, blues, metal, and even RnB and (to a certain extent) hip-hop beats. Because of this, the most respect goes to vertasile musicians. I want to meet someone who doesn't discriminate between genres, labels, equipment brands, or anything else. My personal favorite band is Megadeth, but that's because of the time, love and devotion they put into their music.
Wolf - Swedish heavy metal the way it was meant to be played.
Mutiny - Melodic death metal band from Edison, NJ. I told them I'd try to start a fanbase based in New York, since these guys are as cool on the stage as they are off. Keep the metal alive, brothers!
