We would like to welcome Josh Jarrell, our new bass player, to the DAL family. If you are from our area, chances are you may have seen him tearing it up with Alive & Bleeding or Waterbill. Josh has been a friend of ours basically since the beginning of our band. He was among the handful of people that showed up deep in the woods to watch our very first show and has since shared the stage with us on numerous occasions with his former bands. Josh is one of the best metal bassists around and we are glad to have him on board.
We have advanced to the finals of the solid rock 107.7 Battle of the Bands. The finals have come down to Moth (Savannah, GA) and us. This Thursday (August 11), the overall winner will be decided. Bring your asses down to the Sandtrap Bar & Grill on St. Simons Island and support the local music scene. The show should definitely be one hell of a good time and if all goes as planned, Josh will be making his Death AfterLife debut.
Now that the album and bass situation is complete, we will begin to hit the road on a regular basis. If you want us to play in your area, e-mail us your local venues and we will try to set something up.
We are shifting S.D.S.M into high gear and beginning to take control of our goals and dreams.

Well, finally! Our full length is finished. It will be at least a week before we are ready to distribute though. The price for the 10-song album will be $5 and most of the money we make will go towards the cost of touring, so we can hit the road and meet you guys in person. I will send out a bulletin when the CD is ready for purchase
We would like to thank you all for your support and the great comments left about our music, and to the ones who have been waiting since the original release date of this album, thank you for your patience. It took us a little longer than expected, but the delay paid off in the long run.

Bio:
Death AfterLife is a professionally-minded and goal-orientated heavy metal band. Utilizing their Southeast Georgia-based location the band has expertly blended elements of their rural surroundings with lessons they learned from pioneering bands in the metal genre such as Pantera, Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Sepultura into a style of music they proudly call “Southern Death Swamp Metal.”
Death AfterLife, though unsigned, has implemented a work ethic that rivals those of their signed counterparts. In 2005 the band built a recording studio and wrote, produced, and recorded their freshmen release “Southern Death Swamp Metal.” This ten track album has received radio airplay in the band’s local area, the Nashville market, and on countless college stations throughout the United States.
Death AfterLife’s main objective has been to do as much as possible for themselves before turning to others. In addition to recording their own music the band also designs their own artwork, maintains their own website, and books their own shows. This “help yourself before anyone else will help you” attitude has played a key role in separating these four southern boys from the typical garage band of the day.
