Death at the Disco started it's life in the tiny backroom at the Dancefactory, with DJ's Jonathan Mainley and Peter Simpson, playing current indie tunes aswell as the exciting new electronic music at the time, that they felt wasn't being represented at Birmingham indie clubs. Death then had a brief stint at Snobs nightclub, before moving to it's current home at Subway City on alternate Fridays, as part of the hugely sucessful Resurrection night. DJ Matt Ridding was enlisted to help, and the night formed a much more electronic feel. Death's cheap drinks, intimate low ceiling, and regular party crowd has made it a favorite of both the indie and dance crowds of Birmingham.
