TAKEN FROM R MAG 2007 - Unlike other prints a deathhouse canvas is all done by hand rather than using digital printing,and is a fusion ofcultural iconography,pop art and graffiti,taking influence from Warhol and Banksy to name a few. Using a photograph as a starting point deathhouse creates each design with masking tape,spraypaint and a knife, "I have spent 14 hours cutting and prepping a stencil ready to spray before" ,each detail is carefully constucted by hand,helping ensure each piece is completely unique.The spraypaint is used to give a flat clean finish, he explains "also people tend to associate using spraypaints with vandalism,it gets alot of bad press asa result of that i wanted to change peoples perception of it as a medium" - I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

PEOPLE WITH A PASSION deathhouse was born in 2003 in a small back bedroom - bathly street Nottingham. Brody dalle the singer of the distillers was a big influence to me at the time..and still is...her attitude towards what she was doing and what she wanted to achive was a kick up the ass to me, if you have an idea and you really believe in it - then you have to go for it! as a tribute to her i took the name 'deathhouse' from the distillers album 'sing sing deathhouse' ..........................................................................il finish this off later........
