1992 saw the creation of the legendary Club Hedonism at Rich’s Nightclub in San Diego. It ran every Thursday night for over 10 years until 2002 and established itself as the longest running club night un the U.S.A. It was voted as one of the top nights out in both Playboy and Details magazines and it boasted 1,000 patrons who came to hear the cutting edge house and techno, hosting some of the best DJ’s on the planet including The Tidy Boys, Lisa Lashes, Ann Savage, Tall Paul, John Digweed, Carl Cox, Rachel Auburn and Kimball Collins to name a few. On June 27, 2009 the Hedonistic vibe returns. The co-creator of the original Club Hedonism – Jon Bishop – and Good Vibe Entertainment bring you… ReVive.
Headlining ReVive’s opening night, Death Metal Brian has been locked in the studio for a year, taking a break from DJ gigs to work on tracks with heavy-hitters like Jon Bishop, Sara C (of Fired Up Records UK), and Mars (of Mars and Mystre) as well as rock persona Mark Tesi of east coast legends The Trans Magetti. Having re-ignited his love for dance music, Death Metal Brian is ready to break out the classics along with brand new originals to kick ReVive into high gear.
Representing San Diego on a massive scale since 1990, Jon Bishop has not only been a local favorite but a worldwide all-star. Recently a resident of one of England's Sundissential, Bishop has played alongside just about all of the world's heavy hitters in many of the biggest clubs. Representing SoCal's techno & house scene from the beginning, he has resided over many of San Diego's all-time best club nights including Club Hedonism and the original Montage. Kicking the night off proper will be Jef Phillips, ReVive resident and founder of GoodVibe Entertainment, who has worked hard to bring the old school vibe back to a beautiful new setting at The Flame in Hillcrest.
