How do you ever expect to find love sitting on that material pedestal? You're mere modern goddesses, fixated on being noted for holding the brightest star. This lie you tell, asking for someone kind and intelligent, romantic and adventurous. Someone loving no matter the case who will support you in any situation, yet disagree when you are wrong. You look for nothing of the sort.
Instead you strive for physical appearance, power, money, popularity. Anything you feel you can pull yourself up onto, or stand in the shadow of and be known.
You dare judge me by this shell I wear? I will not be your dog, your toy or your accessory. I am my own, and until someone is able to see that, I am untouchable. Flaunt yourself, do as you wish, you are nothing more that dolls, sheep bound by the media's veiws of perfection and you will never truly know love.
I say look into my eyes if you want to see me.
I say listen to my words, not my voice.
I say my value lies in my knowledge and my kindness.
I say the respect I've earned is more powerful than any amount of fear.
Good news! In an effort to saturate the city of Bend with our badassery, we recently booked two new shows: one for Wednesday, August 20th at Bend Distillery Martini Bar and one for Thursday, August 21st at Long Shots Pub. The Martini Bar is right at the top of Drake Park in downtown Bend, and Long Shots is just south of the underpass and on the other side of Hwy 97 from Stars.
Both of these events will be all Necktie Killer extravaganzas! Both are free! The Wednesday show will be our first time at the Martini Bar, and we definitely plan to leave a lasting impression! The Thursday show at Long Shots is ladies night; everyone gets a free lady with drink purchase! Actually I was recently informed that’s not how it works, but we always have a wicked fun time at Long Shots anyway.
These performances are of course in addition to the R3 Festival out by La Pine (for which we still have tickets) and our Players show (25 S Century Dr in Bend) with Devil’s Punchbowl and Relative, both on August 15th. We are deeply hopeful that you will come see one of these performances, as we are all starved for attention. That’s all for now; we hope your week is immensely enjoyable.
