"Their set was like being punched in the face by the fist of garage rock but then realising the fist had lipstick on it" - The Sequins
"They’re deliciously raw and messy... Noisy trash raw old school messy garage punk rock and the last thing they need is budget and production and ‘proper things’ like that destroying their positive energy and that beautifully raw edge... Spot on in your face grrrl fronted punk rock raw shouty energy, check ‘em out but don’t give them any money or anything, keep this band poor and raw" - Organ Magazine
"Intense and occasionally disturbing PJ Harvey colliding with The Dwarves... about as awesome as anyone has any reasonable right to expect from a band" - Panic Magazine
"Delicious grating garage punk noise pop from chelmsford" - 2bob Promotions
"This is what Sonic Youth or Babes in Toyland might be like if they were still around today" - Lights Go Out Zine (They know Sonic Youth are still going. Their typewriter was just having a bad day. But it's a sweet comment, so we're keeping it.)
"The bass guitar work drives the song with it's fuzzy and rhythmic sound, while the singer smoulders like an early P J Harvey" - Chelmsford Weekly News
"A rough and raw take on punk rock with a pop edge - bringing to mind the best bits of Sleater-Kinney, Bikini Kill and other Riot Grrrrrl sounds. Sure to have all fans of noisy guitars licking their lips with glee!" - Dead Billy Club at the Brixton Windmill

Yeah, it went really well ta, the homecoming/album launch in Manchester was a really special gig. Have found it worryingly hard to adjust back to day-to-day life though.
The Taurus gig sounds like a plan, will see if I can round-up some of my lot to come down

I appear to have taken over your comments board. I get a bit like that - IE stalker-ish - sometimes, but just wanted to say thanks for the second cd. "Butterscene" is my new favourite DOTE song xx
This month on Dandelion Radio I play a track by Death of the Elephant on my monthly queer-feminist-punk-pop-electro radio show. It's a mighty two hour slice of music by shouty women, political queers, underground delights you will never have heard, and under-rated past genius from the likes of Helen Love, Kirsty MacColl, Bikini Kill, Shampoo and many more. I defy you not to be inspired!
You can listen to the show daily throughout the month of November at a different time each day. Visit www.dandelionradio.com for the full schedule for the month and vote for your 3 favourite tracks of the year for this years FESTIVE 50, which we proudly host in the sad absence of John Peel.
Apologies for being spammy, but just to let you know that myself and
the Pope proudly announce the release of my second album, Murder Music,
out now on Cherryade Records.
"Prepare
yourself to be modestly outraged - McCabe is kicking against the
pricks, and declaring homosexual cliche's bankrupt" - Artrocker
"If you like punk, you'll love this. If you're queer and like punk,
you'll spunk your pants. Ste McCabe is authentic and brilliant." - Boy
George
Thanks for an awesome set, if you're ever a bit closer we'll travel to see you. Cheers for the CD, had it on loads in the car - you're a dangerous band to listen too whilst driving :) Cheers for the other goodies too, if it splits - We'll call it Dee if it's a girl, and Tom, or Dan if it's a boy...
