Bio
Our first movie!.. .. .. .. .. .. .. ........Watch ..GUNSLINGER!!!.. in ..Music Videos.. | View More ..Free Videos Online at Veoh.com....Gunslinger was formed on January 1st, 2007. Brian Looney (guitar) and Miles Cramer (drums) came together to explore engaging and dynamic music that is intense and free. The core concept was to maintain an open ended approach to relatively complex compositions, pushing the edge of abilities while staying centered in the ideas. In the first two years as a band, the two released two EP's, Savage (1/08, recorded by Andrija Tokic at The Bomb Shelter) and Death of the Gunslinger (10/08, recorded by Keller McDivit at Ones and Zeros), recorded as the backup band for a Jenny Wood record (2/09, recorded by Andrija Tokic at The Bomb Shelter), toured the southeast on 5 extended tours and countless weekend trips and tried to make their local shows more of events with the help of Jenny Wood, the Bodhicitta Belly Dancers, 5 set shows with electronica group This Is ART and a revolving door of guest musicians. Gunslinger jumped in and tried to figure out their sound in the fire. In July of 2009, Gunslinger, now a trio with the help of Dallas Skare on bass, toured their way to Asheville, NC where on July 27th, they spent 12 hours in the amazing church room of Echo Mountain Studios with Jeremy Ferguson of Battle Tapes engineering. With an extra day at Battle Tapes (Jeremy's home studio), they recorded their most complete and final record, Freshwater. After the official release on a 2 week tour and final show in Nashville, Gunslinger will part ways. Gunslinger has been an intermediate and learning step for Cramer and Looney and with the solidified final statement of Freshwater, they will move on to the next step of their musical growth. -
