Hello mirror,
hows your day been?
Oh? Not too bad?
Pity you're a liar.
I can see you know,
it's etched on the glass.
I can see the aged person staring out your eyes,
the one pounding on the surface,
screamingly trapped by wisdom beyond years.
Oh mirror, you have always bragged about your smartness.
The madness echoes round the bathroom,
the hairbrush viciously rips through the mirrors hair before thowing itself across the room.
The lipstick is on the wall again,
I cannot read it, it's backwards like everything in this room.
Seven years bad luck to break you,
feels like eighteen.
You reflect not on life,
your judgement is only me.
The mirror slumps to the floor and smashes,
the pieces slither to hide.
Fragments of accusation slide across the mirrors face.
I sweep them into a pile and glare.
Gathering courage

For once the mirror is silent.

Who I'd like to meet:
Let me share something with you about friends that a very wise woman shared with me... There are two types of friends - Friends for a short time, and friends for a lifetime. Friends for a short time are friends that come into your life for a season when you most need them, and then, as circumstances change, the relationship fades. Now, that doesn't mean they weren't true friends - they were! But they were meant for only a season of your life. Friends for a lifetime needs no explination - it is exactly as it sounds. No matter when they come into your life...they never leave. Even if the miles seperate you, and you don't talk to each other for months and months at a time...when you do finally get to talk to each other again, it's as if you just saw each other last week!
