In 1998 Deaton first packed up his guitar and bags, and travelled throughout Canada. Unintentionally he stumbled into a creative revelation that was freedom
- the freedom to be unbound by the conventional constraints of the 9 to 5 lifestyle.
Now in 2007, once again with the freedom of travelling abroad, Deaton
has found the inspiration to write and record his debut album in Dublin, teaming up with Irish producer / singer-songwriter Gavin Glass. Unabashedly drawing on old and new influences, Deaton has encaptured a well rounded and diverse musical approach, one that takes styles such as David Grey, Portishead and Tracy Chapman and blends them with the likes of the Thrills and Ryan Adams. Singing songs of love, love gone bad and life's highs, adversities, addictions and
motivations, Deaton can make you feel spirited and uplifted whilst singing songs of hardship. It's this talent that will see this singer song writer achieve his dreams.
Whilst in Dublin, Deaton had the opportunity to play with Shane
McGowan at the Ambassador, jam it out with Kila and play in the best venues
that Dublin has to offer.
Keep an eye out for Deaton who is now residing in Los Angeles.
