| General | Singing, singing, singing. Card making, reading, walking. Art, animals, decor. Travel, clothes shopping (evil grin) Going to craft shows and boot fairs. I love the country and walking in the sand.
Interesting people. I love a good conversation. | | Music | I love jazz and blues..... and 60's stuff cos it makes me feel all fuzzy! I like country and folk and... well most things really, except screechy sopranos (eeww) I like "Gangsta Rap" but not, definitely NOT punk!!!!
I really like to listen to stuff that people have written themselves. Even if they are only strumming along, in fact that can be better than listening to a CD! I wish I could write my own songs ... but alas I am useless!!! LOL | | Movies | well, I'm a bit girlie....lol so I like chick flicks. Meg Ryan - Tom Hanks stuff. yes ok so what?? I do NOT like gratuitous violence so I have not watched LOTR trillogy. I like movies about witches. Preferably humerous or at least with a happy ending. I really like Stepping Out cos I used to be a dancer and A Chorus Line is good too. But my favourite is Practical Magic. | | Television | I am a complete sucker for murder mysteries so, Midsommer Murders, Morse, Poirot, Miss Marple etc.... I watch a couple of the soaps but only if I am home.. I don't tape stuff. I HATE REALITY STUFF!!!!!! It should be banned at least from MY tv...... I like watching horses. I watch TOTP2 sometimes to see if I can spot anyone I know!! lol | | Books | Rebecca Shaw is my fave author. She writes books about village life. I also like detective novels. James Patterson is really gory and good. lol eeww that sounds horrid but it's a good read. Shakespear is always good and flippin Mr Darcy! ooh fancy!!... had to read those at school.
I like SOME Maeve Binchy. | | Heroes | My Dad was a hero. He was a Japanese prisoner of war and saved at least one man that I know of. He was also in the CMP at one time! I have several people in my life now that I admire but I wouldn't call them heroes as such. I admire people who are helpful and understanding to others and the world stuation. And I admire men who can show their feelings, creative people who know what they want and how to go about getting it.
If you are talking music.... well it has to be David Jones. He has been in my life for longer than I care to admit now lol. He is like a cousin to me. Now there is a man who has overcome some difficulties in his time!! If it were me I would have sunk a long time back but Dave is so resilient. A real fighter: and a bloody nice man! |

About me:
I'm a published poet .... bit of a Diva, a singer and I make my own greetings cards. I am very fond of animals. Creative, left handed, tall (5.8) with blue eyes and brown hair. I love colour.... am artistic. Have been a dancer but now have MS so I fall over if I turn around too quickly... hence end of dancing days. I live in the south of England and have done for most of my life so far ..... wouldn't mind moving though!! I am honest and fiercely loyal to my friends. When I make friends I tend to keep them forever. I am tactile and warm (I hope) and I try to be up beat and fun. I have 2 cats and one son...LOL
I need to widen my circle of friends. I am quite shy really and don't make friends easily.
I am basically lazy! although I do try as much as my illness will let me. I have determination in spades and I will do anything I am capable of to help a friend in need. I have a good ear and will listen when people are down or need to talk out of grief etc... I am a problem solver. Very logical (even Spock-like at times). I am a Mensan.
I would like to publish a book of my poems one day. I am in a few but a whole book just of mine would feel really satisfying!!

Who I'd like to meet:
Oooh let me see ..... people who share my interests. Genuine people who give a damn! A big shot manager who likes my music and is willing to lavish loadsa money on me making a kick-ass album or three. A really good keyboard player who is willing to help me practice and would love the experience of studio work for little or no money! (yeah I know I know, what planet would they be from?)
I would have liked to have met John Lennon and Jack Lemon too as I think he would have been incredibly amusing and have such stories to tell.
