I love to Dance! Alot. Just ask anyone who goes to see the band, my Favorite Band MAMADOU. I am on the dance floor all night, or at least I try to be. I really have to stop smoking it's gonna kill me one of these days. But anyway,
Music
MAMADOU, Ayla Brown, Angela Masciale, Whitney Houston and of all the great talent that has walked through the Talent Quest Show's door!!
I also love and will always remain a true fan of Michael Jackson. Despite all of the bad things that have been said, true or not. I am here not to judge. His dedication and contribution to music has been amazing. He will truly be remembered for me not as 'Wacko Jacko" But a genius, who sadly at some point lost his way. "You are not alone".
Let's not forget Mr. James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, all kinds of gospel music and finally Peter, Paul and Mary.
Although I generally love most music, I could do without listening to Opera or twangy Country music. On the other hand, I do have to point out that I enjoyed/loved going to see The Phanthom of The opera when the play came to Boston. So can you quess what I did, hell I just tell ya. I bought the CD and played it every day for a whole year. I quess , you never know.

At the end of July in 2007, A3D held their second annual CultureFest , showcasing the cultural and artistic talents of Salem and the North Shore area. The CultureFest is A3D's outdoor summer festival featuring live musical and stage performances, artisans and crafters of all kinds arranged in booths, food and fun for all.
It is fully family friendly and admission is free to the public.

A3D Delivers Computers and Sewing Machines in Africa -
In January of 2007, members and Directors of A3D traveled to Senegal to do what they do best - help people. With funds raised from their CultureFest and Hope For The Holidays events, as well as from locals in the North Shore area of Massachusetts and beyond, they were able to help two organizations in ways beyond what they imagined:
AEDEC - A3D delivered 10 brand new computers, a network, laser printers, and a lot of hope to the AEDEC school in Dakar, Senegal. That simple offering made computer technologies available to over 1600 students who previously had no computer access at all. AEDEC, seemingly overnight, rose in the ranks among all other schools in the country by becoming the first public school to have such learning tools available to their students. Even the President of Senegal, Abdoulaye Wade, took notice. The students of AEDEC were so grateful that they named the computers after the Directors of A3D.
Les 3D - This noble group needs working sewing machines in order to continue bringing sewing and fabric skills to Senegal's underprivileged women so that they may provide for themselves. A3D took note of that need and furnished 10 brand new sewing machines. Each sewing machine is capable of being powered by electricity, or by foot pedal when electricity is not available (which is often the case). Les 3D staff and students were overwhelmed with joy when they were presented with these gifts.
We at A3D would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our success stories. We cannot do it without your continued support.

I recently started attending Salem State College as a part-time day student. I choose to go part-time, to take only a few classes. Because to be honest I was and still am terrified, that I would not be able to handle and or pass a college class. Right now, I am taking a Basic writing class, which again I was afraid, due to the fact that I have not done very much writing. Oh and one more thing is I HATE TO WRITE! However, I'm starting to feel more confident in my writing skills. Which in turn should help lessen my fear and maybe I really won't mind doing this writing stuff AFTER ALL. Along with Basic Writing, I took the Health and Wellness class. Student's had the opportunity to take an exemption test. OH MY! OH MY! I passed and I was one very happy woman.
My future depends on me being able to keep my fears from overcoming my desire to futher my education and to look into getting a degree. Well, I haven't quite made up my mind yet, but I am looking to go into the direction of PSY/Social Work. I want a career where I can utilize whatever talents I may have, to make a difference. "Each day is a chance to touch a person's life" Angela Masciale. Time Will Tell CD.
All who reach out a hand for others to take in time of need, give the gift of love. My journey, my search for finding myself has just begun.
I am very fortunate to have met some terrific people, who have led me in a direction of purpose. That purpose is A3D- African Development thru Drum and Dance. A non-profit org. who's mission is to build and maintain the capacity to effectively address the economic, educational, enviromental, and public needs of underserved African populations in Africa and Africans in the Greater Boston area.
I am also very excited to be a part of A3D. I am one of the director's and I hope/pray, that I can help A3D in achieving their goals.
