Hi - my name is Debbie Rice and I'm a pro skater, the North America Bont rep and Pro Team Manager for Bont Skates/Rudy Project USA, as well as a retailer for EZeeFit ankle booties. I started racing for Bont back in 1997, and have been working as a rep/manager/racer for them ever since.
Some of my recent 2009 skating achievements are gold medal at the FIRS Master World Championships in Italy, 5 golds & 3 new records at USA/RS Indoor Nationals, 2nd in pro St. Paul, 1st place Squiggy Marathon, 1st place Texas Road Rash Marathon, and from 2008: 1st place Texas Road Rash Marathon, 1st place Badger State Games Marathon, 1st place Chicago-land Marathon, 2nd place St. Paul Marathon, 1st place Hayward Inline Challenge - and 1st place overall for the National Roller Cup Points Circuit! Oh and a 1st place at NIRA Nationals - 100M sprint :)
Some of my past skating 'stuff' includes the Guinness World Record for fastest woman on skates (61 mph downhill), competed in ESPN's XGames and Ultimate Inline Challenge a few times, raced indoor & outdoor for USARS (25-time national champ), USAIR, NPC, USCUP and the PIRS series, skated roller derby on TNN's Roller Jam at Universal Studios in Orlando, as well as the MGM Grand Arena in Vegas, did a couple tv commercials (one for Roadrunner High Speed Online) and have met so many fun people along the way. I've broken just about every bone in my body (including my neck & back), but I keep on, keepin on! "For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
I love to laugh! I'm one of those crazy/silly people, so if you're going to try and bring me down, you better just 'go on with yo negative self'. I've never had much of a family life, and I've been through enough $h*t to break anyone's spirit, but I've used the experiences to learn and grow from. I try to help others as much as I can.. this is what makes me happy :) Life is all about living and taking chances - get out there and see the world! I will try anything once..live each day like it's your last -... you never know when your time will expire, so have some frikken fun! I can't stand country music (if you like it, seek some help!), and I love SoBe & SoCal... yeah, spoken like a true Texan ;)~
