Star Trek Role Playing, Bible Study, researching on the Internet. Putting people I know's names in search engines just to see what comes up. It's fascinating -- as Spock would say.
About me: I live in Virginia. I work for a construction company in the front office. At the end of June 2007, I went on my first vacation in 6 years, to New Mexico and Colorado to visit relatives. I’m an aunt four times over and a great aunt six times over. I’ve got one second cousin currently IN Iraq and the husband of another there! I’m originally from California but moved to Colorado when I was 15. Then we moved to Virginia when I was 28. I went to college in Missouri, to a school that’s about to celebrate its 75th anniversary and – oddly enough – is located on a former Air Force Base! I still keep in contact with two of my four RA’s, though not as much as I’d like. Since I’m not married with children, I have more time on my hands than they do.
I am a Christian and enjoy Bible Studies. Although, I’m not much into “Women’s” Bible Studies. I’d rather do a deeper study than “how to love your husband and children” or “how to be a submissive wife” or “how to be the woman God wants you to be.” None of those are bad, mind you. They’re just not my style. I’d much rather do a book study of . . . say . . . Romans or Colossians or Philippians. I’d rather do a study on how to be the CHRISTIAN God wants me to be.
Okay, sorry for the anti-Bible study rant. Now, where was I? Oh yes, I like the 15 minute walks each night I take with my mother. It gives us a chance to talk.
I am very happy to have found friends from my past on MySpace. I’m also happy to have found relatives, some of whom I know well, and some I don’t, but would like to.
Saw this video in a My Space Bulletin. Thanks Doug
