Deborah Swiney
Deborah, a Memphis native, singer/songwriter, has a style of her own, and has shown vocal versatility for all genres. Deborah was influenced by legendary performers i.e., Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Billy Holiday, and Karen Carpenter.
Singing as a featured or back-up vocalist, both nationally and internationally, Deborah has worked with many artist including the legendary Rev. Al Green, and Italian Rock Star, Zucchero.
In 1992, Deborah began touring as a back-up vocalist for Rev. Al Green, which led to a seven year venture and gave her opportunities to perform at venues all over the world, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, Carnegie Hall, and Montreux Jazz Festival.
Deborah's repertoire includes Jazz, Blues, Swing, and Country.
She performs with some of Memphis' best musicians. Deborah can provide duo to big band performces.
